Collection: Gayageum 가야금

The gayageum, also known as the kayagum, is a traditional Korean zither, renowned for its beautiful, resonant sound and cultural significance. Traditionally, the gayageum has 12 silk strings, tuned to a pentatonic scale, providing a distinctive timbre ideal for traditional Korean music. Modern versions feature 23 or 25 tetron strings, tuned diatonically to accommodate a wider range of musical styles, including Western compositions.

Our gayageums are meticulously handcrafted by renowned makers, ensuring the highest standards of quality and artistry. Each instrument is constructed using premium materials, seamlessly blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary techniques. The result is a gayageum that excels in sound quality, tactile responsiveness, and visual elegance. Perfect for both solo performances and ensemble settings, the gayageum embodies unique artistic charm and a rich cultural heritage.
